Program:

Day 1: arriving, huskyfarm visit

Arrival by plane in Tromsø. We will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the house along the beautiful fjords. Moving in. We make campfire where we cook dinner - moose meat, that comes from our valley -, and we can plan the coming days together. We have a husky farm, so you can meet our dogs, play with them and get to know purebreed greenland dogs, siberian huskies and alaskan huskies.

Day 2:  cycling

Breakfast in the house. We cycle 12 km from the house to the end of the valley through pine forest, looking for reindeers and berries along the way, past small waterfalls, crossing a small river. When we arrive, there is a suspension bridge and a campfire place, where we make fire, cook lunch, and eat outside sorrounded by the river, mountains and forest. After lunch we cycle back 12 km home. For smaller children, we have a trailer with seats, that we attach to the bike. Older children ride their own bikes. Dinner in the house.

Day 3: canoe tour

Breakfast in the house. We drive 1 hour 30 minutes to the neighboring valley to the Reisa National Park, from where we start our canoe trip down on the beautiful wild and scenic Reisa river with 2 canoe. On the way, we stop with the car at a large waterfall. Lunch on the riverside by the campfire during the canoe trip. We plan the rowing distance together based on the age of the children.  We provide life jackets for everyone. Journey home by car 30 minutes. Dinner in the house. 

Day 4:  treasure hunt, wild camping

Breakfast in the house. You will receive a map based on which you must search for the treasures hidden by the trolls together. Tricky tasks, resourceful team members, teamwork is required to complete the task. When you have all the treasures, then the mission is completed. Lunch in the house. Then we will go to the site of our wild camping, where a playground and an obstacle course await the children, where we will set up our evening camp together and have dinner by the campfire.

Day 5:  hiking (blue lake or glacier)

Breakfast in the house. We drive 1 hour 15 minutes along the fjords to Oldardalen, from where we take a ferry to the Lyngen Alps. This takes 40 minutes. We cross the magnificent blue Lyngenfjord, which is flanked by huge mountains. When we arrive on the other side, we drive for 40 minutes. We park the car and set off on a hiking trip to the incredibly blue lake Blåisvatnet. The length of the tour is 4,2 km, with 172 meters of elevation gain. For smaller children, we have a carrier in which you can carry them on your back when they are tired, like a backpack. If you want, we can take huskies with us on this tour. They are tied to us with a belt, they have a harness on them and they walk in front of us on elastic rope. We eat sandwiches by the lake. With older children, it is possible to choose a longer tour to a glacier, where we can admire the blue ice up close. The hiking tour is 6.5 km long with 600 meters of elevation gain. We hike back to the car, and we drive home. Dinner in the house.

Day 6: beach day with SUP

Breakfast in the house. 35 minutes drive to an incredibly beautiful sandy beach located on the coast in Reisafjord, with the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea in front of you. We will take with us a SUP with life jackets, so you can explore the beach with it. There is also a small playground on the beach. We make campfire, cook lunch on the beach. In the early afternoon we will drive to home. Dinner in the house.

Day 7: husky tour, fishing (or hiking in the valley) 

Breakfast in the house. If the temperature is low enough, we start the day with a husky tour. For about 5-10 kilometers, 10-12 huskies will pull a wheeled cart, in which you will be the passenger, and we will drive. It's the same as sledding in winter, only because there's no snow, it's the snowless version.

If the temperature is too high for the dogs to run, we go fishing in our valley after breakfast. Norway is famous for its fishing spots and good fishing opportunities. A freshly caught salmon would be a perfect lunch. :)

If the children are too young for fishing, we will go by car to the end of our valley as long as there is a road, which is about 15 minutes. From there, we will start our hiking tour in the valley along a beautiful river, which is surrounded by waterfalls, mountains and forest. If you want, huskies will also join us on the tour. We will take with us firewood in our backpacks and stop at a beautiful place during the tour, where we have a barbecue. After the tour, we drive home by car, then dinner in the house.

Day 8: end of the tour

Breakfast in the house, packing and we drive you to the airport (or if you want to spend time on another place before you go home, than there wherever you wish). 

Other informations:

-all of our tours are PRIVATE TOURS. That means you will be the only one on this tour with your family.

-the days/programs may change, depending on the weather, but we always decide together with you (for example driving to the Nordkapp in case of bad weather, rain all day).

-the house has 2 bedrooms and 5 beds: a double bed + 1 baby bed in one room, 3 single beds in the other room. We have 1 high chair in the kitchen for smaller children.

-we are flexible in everything. We, as a family, know that with children not everything alway goes as it is planned. We find the best solution for everything, and we will do our best to make sure you have a week full of unforgettable experiences here.

-everyone participates in the tours at their own risk.

Price:

39,900 NOK/family with 1 or 2 children (approx. 3250 eu) when food is not included. You can buy food for yourself, in this case we will take you to the shop once. Breakfast and dinner in the house on your own. Lunch outside in nature, on the campfire , where we prepare the food, what you bring with you.

46,900 NOK/family with 1 or 2 children (approx. 3,900 eu) when food is included. Let us know special wishes, e.g. allergies, etc. in the booking request, when you book the tour. In this case, you prepare breakfast and dinner for yourself in the house from the food we provide, and we prepare for you outside on the fire mostly for lunch that food, what we take with us.

In the case of a family with more like 2 children, for each child the addition cost is 3,000 NOK/child.

When and how to pay:

Payment is made by bank transfer. Ipon booking, you will receive an invoice by e-mail, which must be transferred to the specified bank account within a specified time. The tour is booked when 30 percent is paid.

- programs with all costs (tickets, guided tours)

- all transfers (minibus with child seat)

-equipment (bicycles, SUP, canoes, life jackets, child carrier for hiking, bicycle trailer with seats, tent, sleeping bags, fishing equipment, itc.)

- food, if you book the tour with food

- professional photos

The price does not include: 

- plane tickets 

- travel insurance 

- food if you book the tour without food

What to do before you come:

- you must book the flight yourself (we pick you up in Tromsø or Sørkjosen)

- you are obliged to take out travel insurance before leaving home

- when booking the tour, fill out the form exactly, so that we know the children's age, number of people, food allergies, itc.

What you need to take with you

- clothes for warm sunny and rainy or windy days, up to 10-25 degrees

- some toys for younger children for that time when we travel with car
